Paul Reade - Managing / Technical Director

Paul has over 35 years' experience on the NHS Standard Payroll System (SPS). SPS paid 75% of NHS in England and Wales (900,000 staff) before replacement by ESR. In his current role as Technical Director of ESRconnect Paul listens to the needs of our customers and tailors our software to suit their exact requirements.

Biography
1970 Started as programmer: Manchester Regional Hospital Board
1972 Senior programmer / project leader: first version of SPS
1982 Project leader / systems designer: VME version of SPS
1988 Project manager: SPS and Integrated Personnel System (IPS) processing support 
1990 Project manager: SPS development team. Managed implementation of major projects:-
  • UNIX version of SPS
  • Payroll Data Query (PDQ) relational database for historical enquiries.
1995 Project manager: SPS User Team with Shared Medical Systems (SMS) following privatisation from NHS
  • Managed major changes such as weekly / monthly aggregation of earnings
2005 Implemented downloading SPS prints into Word / Excel files:-
  • Links for pay office staff to easily skip to previous / next month's payslips
  • Facility to e-mail payslips to employees

Shaun Reade - Director of Sales and Marketing

Since graduating in 2005 from the University of Central Lancashire with a 2:1 degree in Sociology, Shaun has worked locally within the field of finance and credit control. He has since developed a proven track record in sales within the motor trade. In his current role as the Director of Sales and Marketing with ESRconnect, he is responsible for all commercial operations of the business.
